REVIEW: Whitin Chelsea Boots
For everyone curious about the new Whitin Chelsea Sock Boot. Overall Rating: 7.5 of 10 (for me)
- The sock part is a stiffer stretch material. I can imagine this being a little irritating if you have very sensitive skin.
- I got an 8 wide. My toe is just about at the top. My feet are just shy of 25cm. The size chart says the insole on the 8 is 25.5cm. I don’t think that is quite accurate, but they don’t have half sizes so keep that in mind if sizing up.
- They’re cuter in person and I’ve styled them up, rolled down, and tucked in.
- There is a slight toe lift but nothing crazy.
- The insole is flat and removable.
- The sole is thicker so they’re not the most flexible shoes ever but they are flexible nonetheless. The tread seems decent too. (Wouldn’t bank on it for snow or anything like that)
- They’re made well for a $45usd shoe. Stitching looks good and no visible glue or anything like that.
Overall, I like them and think I’ll get a lot of wear out of them!

Commonly Asked Questions:
- The insole for where the foot actually sits is 25 cm exactly on the 8.
- The outsole width is 10.2cm and the insole width is 9.5cm.
- These would fit low to mid volume feet. At its highest point, they’re about 3 inches tall.
- They are definitely faux leather. The black color is a suede material and the brown is a leather material.
- The sock part is stretchy, but I would say it would only stretch an inch or so comfortably.
